How to remove urine odours from concrete, marble & unglazed ceramics?Updated a year ago

Highly porous surfaces like concrete, marble and unglazed ceramics surfaces require liberal application of urineFREE with delayed evaporation to remove urine smells.

⚠️ Act fast: We recommend immediate treatment on these surfaces to avoid permanent discolouration. If the uric acid crystals in the urine have discoloured or edged the surfaces, this change is unfortunately irreversible. Like bleach to clothing, the uric acid crystals given too much dwell time can cause some surfaces to discolour and/or burn. This chemical process can not be fixed by urineFREE.

How to apply:

  1. Use urineFREE Urine Detector to find urine affected areas where necessary.
  2. Spray thoroughly with urineFREE.
  3. Cover with plastic film or sheeting for at least two hours to delay evaporation and allow first application to penetrate.
  4. Blot floor dry with paper towels. For large outdoor areas, rinse with garden hose.
  5. Repeat Steps 2, 3 and 4 as needed with two hours between applications until urine odour is removed.
  6. For indoor surfaces, lightly sponge surface with water to remove any residue. Outside areas can be rinsed with water and left to dry.

Notes

⚠️ Previous products: never use cleaners, chemicals or deodorisers to remove urine. These products tend to coat or encapsulate the uric acid crystals (the source of the odours) and make it difficult for urineFREE to penetrate. If you have used these products, try to remove as much of the products as possible with water and a clean cloth. Blot and allow to dry and then apply urineFREE.
